
Track and Field Completes Day One of the 50th ECAC Division I Women’s & 149th IC4A Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Day two begins tomorrow morning
Piscataway, N.J. – The Sacred Heart University men's track and field team wraps up day one of the 50th ECAC Division I Women's & 149th IC4A Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday afternoon.
On the men's side, the top finish on the track came in the 400m, where Lance Hayes earned a podium spot with a time of 47.31 seconds to place third overall.
In the field events, Tyler Durang led the way with a fourth-place finish in the hammer throw after recording a mark of 58.30m.
Francisco Amore continued his good season, placing seventh in the pole vault event after recording a height of 4.65m.
On the women's side, their best event came in the high jump event. Kaitlyn Caraco finished fifth overall after recording a mark of 1.63m. Right behind in sixth place is Ava Coscia, who finished with a mark of 1.58m. The two combined for 6.5 points.
They found more success in the pole vault, led by Sophia DeMillio, who finished fourth overall with a mark of 3.56m. Sophie Aglietti followed close behind, placing seventh with a clearance of 3.41m.
The men's team totaled 14 points on the day, while the women's team finished with 13.5 points.
