Musa leads the way

Piscataway, N.J. – The Sacred Heart University women's track and field team concluded competition at the 50th ECAC Division I Women's & 149th IC4A Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a strong showing, finishing sixth overall out of 18 teams.

Nyahingiva Musa led the way for the Pioneers, claiming an event victory in the 100m with a time of 11.70 seconds to earn 10 valuable points. She continued her strong day with a seventh-place finish in the 200m, clocking 24.94 seconds to add two more points for the squad.

The Pioneers were able to grab six more points in the 4x100m relay. Elizabeth Apostolico, Annalise Nassy, Ariyana Jackson, and Musa were the four to get it done. They finished in 47.62 seconds.

Up Next:
The Pioneers will be back in action next week, as they are set to compete in the 130th Penn Relay Carnival at the University of Pennsylvania. The meet starts on Thursday, April 23 and will run until Saturday, April 25.
