How it Happened:
Poor provided the lone goal for the Pioneers, recording his first goal of the season. Overall, Poor led Sacred Heart with three shots, including one on goal, as the Pioneers looked to generate offensive opportunities throughout the contest.
Poor's goal was a header finish set up by Alejandro Tierno and Axier Zeberio, who each recorded an assist on the play. The Pioneers finished the night with seven shots, including three on goal, as they continued to create chances against the Scarlet Knights.
Losfablos, Istambouli and Moreno each recorded a shot on goal for Sacred Heart, while Tierno also added a shot. The Pioneers earned two corner kicks and drew seven fouls throughout the contest.
Anthony Suarez played all 90 minutes in goal for Sacred Heart, while the Pioneers' defense held Rutgers to five shots on goal.
Despite the result, the Pioneers saw contributions from throughout the lineup and will look to carry that effort into their next contest as they continue non-conference play.
