While attending Belmont High School, Marcus played football and basketball all four years, and ran track for three. He was named Offensive Player of the Year for football and to the All-League Team. He is the school's record holder in touch downs and yards. His football team won the Shriners Classic on June 18, 2010 at Gillette Stadium and the Agganis Classic July 14, 2010 and Manning Field.
