High School - Matthew Morganelli, Jr. attended Smithtown High School West, playing for Head Coach Peter Cerullo. As a lineman who played on both sides of the ball, Morganelli recorded 41 tackles, five sacks, 48 pancake blocks, and seven tackles for loss in his senior season. He was also named to the Newsday All-Long Island Team and the All-Metro second-team. Morganelli was also earned an all-division player as well as a member of the Newsday Top 40. Off the field he is a member of the Business Honor Society. Morganelli also competed on his high school track and field team.
