Brooke Krohley begins her first season as an assistant coach for the Sacred Heart University men's & women's track and field teams in the 2022-23 academic year.
Krohley comes to Sacred Heart with coaching experience at both the collegiate and high school levels. She most served as assistant coach for one season at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. Krohley also made coaching stops at both Texas A&M and Valparaiso Universities, working with the sprints and hurdles groups. In addition, she spent the 2018-19 campaign at Mark T. Sheehan High School in nearby Wallingford, Conn., specializing in high jump and sprints events.
Krohley's coaching accolades include guiding a St. Edward's runner to 2022 All-Lone Star Conference honors in the 100m hurdles. She also led two Valparaiso student-athletes to 2020 Indoor Missouri Valley Conference All-Conference honors. At Texas A&M, Krohley coached 2020 800m and 4×400m relay Olympic gold medalist Athing Mu and multiple Southeastern Conference All-Conference athletes.
In addition to coaching, Krohley also owned a decorated collegiate career at Southern Connecticut State University. She was a two-time Northeast-10 Conference champion and an NCAA Division II national qualifier with the Owls. In 2018, her 4x400m relay team claimed both the indoor and outdoor NE10 titles. In 2017, Krohley was named a Division II All-American in the 4x400m and ran lead-off on the 4x400m relay squad that won the 2017 NEICAAA outdoor title before advancing to the DII Championships.
Krohley graduated from SCSU in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. She earned a master's in Sports Management from Valparaiso in 2020. Krohley is a native of Bethany, Conn, and she graduated from Amity Regional High School.
