Beach entered the Sacred Heart men's and women's track and field program for the 2011-12 season. Prior to being a Pioneer, Beach served as the Assistant Track and Field Coach in 2002-09 for the University at Buffalo in New York State. As a Bull, Beach aided student-athletes in two events: horizontal jump and pole vault. He also worked in the ivy league level at Columbia University as the Lions Assistant Track and Field Coach from 2000-02.
Before being a New York resident, Beach worked in and around the Greater Philadelphia area. He served as the Assistant Track and Field Coach at the University of Pennsylvania in 1998-00 and was a teacher and coach for 16 years at the Friends' Central School in Wynnewood, PA.
Despite his extensive experience as a Track and Field Coach, Beach's first coaching job was at Eastern University in St. Davids, PA as the Soccer Head Coach for four years (1979-83).
Beach is certified by the USA Track and Field for USATF Level II Sprints/Hurdles Jumps Throws Combined Events.
