
EDDY FERHI NAMED ITECH MAAC GOALIE-OF-THE-WEEK

FAIRFIELD, CT (November 25, 2002) - Senior goaltender Eddy Ferhi (Charenton, France) was named the ITECH MAAC Goalie-of-the-Week for the week ending November 25.
Ferhi made 44 saves in a defensive-oriented weekend. He shutout Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opponent American International College in a 0-0 tie Friday November 23. The following evening, Ferhi made 20 saves, holding the Yellowjackets to just two goals in a 4-2 victory. He is posting a 1.75 goals against average in league play and a 2.07 goals against average overall. Both stats are league-leading. Ferhi has a .920 save percentage in league games and a .927 overall save percentage, ranking him second in the league.
Ferhi was named the MAAC Pre-Season Goalie of the Year. He currently ranks first all-time with a career 2.81 goals-against-average. Fehri posted a .910 save percentage (.905 overall) and a 2.82 goals-against-average (3.04 overall) in 2001-02 MAAC play.
Ferhi and the Pioneers return to action on December 6 and December 7 as they play host to out-of-conference opponent Alabama-Huntsville at the Milford Ice Pavilion. Both games start at 7 pm.
