Men's Golf In Eighth After Second Round Of NEC Men's Golf Championship

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Sacred Heart finished the second round of the 2015 Northeast Conference Men's Golf Championship at LPGA International in eighth place Saturday. Jeff Cohen (Windham, N.H.) and Connor Cunningham (West Hartford, Conn.) are both tied for 16th after 36 holes.
Cohen had the Pioneers' low score on Saturday, carding a second-consecutive round of +5 77. The senior had two birdies on his card including one on 18. Cunningham, who entered the day tied for sixth, was +4 on both the front and back nine to finish with a round of 80. Both Cohen and Cunningham are +10 for the tournament, tied for 16th.
Freshman Tom D'Andrea (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) had a round of 82 Saturday, putting him in a tie for 30th individually at +16. Sam Barber (North Bay, Ont.) rounded out the Pioneers' scoring group with a second-round 83. He enters Sunday's final round tied for 37th at +20.
Sacred Heart was +34 as a team on Saturday after a team round of +22 Friday. The Pioneers enter Sunday's final round 14 strokes behind seventh-place Wagner. Robert Morris continues to lead the tournament. At +21, the Colonials lead Bryant by five strokes and LIU Brooklyn by eight.
The 2015 NEC Men's Golf Championship concludes on Sunday.
