
Robbins Picks Up AHA Goaltender of the Week

The junior tallied his first career shutout in Friday’s 1-0 win over Maine
WALTHAM, Mass. – In the Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey weekend series at Maine, junior Justin Robbins was solid in net for the Red & White. The goalie captured his first career shutout and tallied a career high in saves to garner Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Week honors.
It's the first weekly honor for the junior and the third by a Pioneer this season. Army West Point claimed one award as Anthony Firriolo earned Player of the Week. Drew Bavaro from Bentley was named Defensive Player of the Week while Carter Wilkie of RIT took Rookie of the Week.
The Alpine, N.J. native recorded a GAA of 1.44, .951 save percentage and a total of 58 saves. In Saturday's 3-3 tie, he recorded a career high 34 saves.
The Pioneers return to action when they host their home-opener against Niagara Friday, October 29 at 5:35 p.m. at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Conn.
