
Britt Captures Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week

Logan Britt scored a goal and an assist alongside three blocked shots at UConn
WALTHAM, Mass. – In the Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey season opener at UConn on Saturday, junior transfer Logan Britt shined in his first game in the Red & White. The defenseman recorded a goal and an assist alongside three blocks to earn himself Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week.
It's the first weekly honor for the Crystal Lake, Ill., native and the first by a Pioneer this season. Army West Point claimed one award as Anthony Firriolo earned Defensive Player of the Week. Nicholas Grabko from Bentley was named Goaltender of the Week.
Saturday's goal was the first for the Quinnipiac transfer since January 8 when he tallied a goal for the Bobcats in their 4-3 victory over Clarkson. In his career, he posts three goals and four assists for seven points.
The Pioneers go on the road next week to take on Hockey East opponent Merrimack at 7 p.m.
