LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Recent Sacred Heart men's lacrosse graduate Logan Liljeberg earned United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division I Scholar All-American honors last Friday, June 25. The team was also recognized as an All-Academic squad across all three divisions.
The USILA Scholar All-American program was established to recognize student-athletes from USILA member institutions who have distinguished themselves academically, athletically and as citizens of their communities. A Scholar All-American must be a student with a senior year academic standing and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. He will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. He must also be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player.
Liljeberg was one of just three Northeast Conference players to be recognized by the USILA and his distinction marks the fourth-straight season that the Pioneers garnered a Scholar All-American. Liljeberg got it done on and off the field this past season as he posted a near-perfect 3.99 cumulative GPA and earned his second-straight All-NEC First Team nod. In addition, Liljeberg was recognized as the 2021 NEC Spring Scholar Athlete for men's lacrosse. Liljeberg posted high marks on the field as he ranked second in the conference in points per game (4.09), fourth in assists per game (2.09), and tenth in goals per game (2.0). During the 2021 campaign, he notched a career-best seven points against Bryant on April 24 to highlight his 12 multi-point performances last season.
As a team, the Pioneers posted a 3.37 GPA and sat alongside LIU as the only NEC prgrams to be recognized as an All-Academic team.
