FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Logan Liljeberg '21 of the Sacred Heart University men's lacrosse team continues to be recognized even after his last game in the Red and White. The standout attacker earned a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 Men's At-Large Team.
The Wrentham, Mass. native is one of 13 members of the First Team and is the only member to represent the Northeast Conference. Liljeberg's 3.99 grade point average is the second highest on the list and advances him to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced in August.
The CoSIDA All-District laurel is the third academic honor for Liljeberg this year as he earned USILA Scholar All-America honors as well as NEC Scholar Athlete of the Year for men's lacrosse. On the field, Liljeberg earned his second-straight All-NEC First Team nod and ranked second in the conference with 4.09 points per game.
Members of the All-District team are selected by CoSIDA members as it recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. Eligible nominees must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average. The student-athlete must also have played in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions.
The districts are broken up by geographical location as District 1 includes student-athletes at Division I institutions from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
