FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Two home runs extended the Sacred Heart University baseball's four game win streak with an 8-7 triumph against Stony Brook on Tuesday.

Mark Smith evened the score with a solo homer out of right field for his second of the season.
One frame later,
Steven Schoen followed suit as he cranked one out of right field to snap the tie. The senior's home run was his second in the last three home games.
Ryan Donnelly's single to centerfield grew the lead by one as
Joe Emerson came home in the fourth inning.
With two outs on the board, Schoen tallied his second run of the day off Emerson's double to centerfield in the following frame.
A three-run sixth inning helped cement the Pioneers lead over the Seawolves as Donnelly, Smith and
George Sutherland each notched a run.
After the visitors recorded a run in the seventh, Emerson's sacrifice fly added an eventual insurance run as pinch-runner
Nick Jaskolski crossed home.
Stony Brook rallied back to bring the score within one with a five-run ninth inning before reliever
Michael Attonito secured the final two outs for the save.
In his first win of the season,
Jack Kramer put in four innings of work with three strikeouts and only allowed one run on two hits. Stepping on the mound in the fourth,
Luke Hansen recorded a season-high four strikeouts across three innings.
In four at bats, Smith wasn't denied a spot on the bags with three hits and a walk. Schoen landed on base in three of his four at bats with two hits and a walk.
