Buffalo, N.Y. -- Sacred Heart erased an early deficit and battled back to even the score late, but Canisius delivered in the ninth to secure the series win.

How It Happened
Canisius jumped out early with three runs in the opening inning, but Sacred Heart responded in the second as Ronan Donohue singled, Will Rudolph reached on a fielder's choice, and Nathan Bowes delivered an RBI double to score Rudolph and cut the deficit to 3-1.
On the mound, Ryan Parker settled in quickly, recording two strikeouts in the second before the Pioneers turned a smooth double play in the third, started by CJ Nolan to Gavin Donohue to Will Cook.
Sacred Heart continued to chip away in the fourth when Rudolph launched a solo home run to trim the deficit to one.
Parker kept dealing, recording a strikeout in the fourth and two more in the fifth to keep the Pioneers within striking distance.
The Pios pulled even in the sixth as Ronan Donohue singled, Rudolph followed with a base hit, and Jacob Schmutz lifted a sacrifice fly to bring Donohue home and tie the game at 3-3.
Parker added another strikeout in the seventh and stranded Canisius runners, but the Golden Griffins delivered late, using a walk-off home run in the ninth to hand Sacred Heart a 5-3 loss.
