Tennis Releases 2022 Fall Schedule

Slate includes return to ITA Regionals
FAIRFIELD, Conn.— The Sacred Heart University men's and women's tennis teams released their 2022 fall schedules announced by head men's and women's tennis coach Mike Guastelle on Thursday.
"Our fall schedule this year provides our players numerous opportunities," said Guastelle. "To compete against many of the top Division I tennis programs in the northeast as we prepare for our Spring season and the Northeast Conference championships in April."
Both teams travel to Monmouth on Sept. 21. Last season, Monmouth men's team finished with a 20-5 record, which included a trip to the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Sacred Heart will also make a local appearance at Fairfield. The men will participate in the Fairfield Invitational (Sept. 23-25) while the women compete the Fairfield Blind Duals (Oct. 14- 16).
The Pioneers head to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regionals on Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at Dartmouth for the women and Oct. 7-8 at Army for the men. Both teams compete in the tournament for the first time since 2019.
