SHU opens a two-game week on the road on Tuesday
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University men's basketball team opens a two-game week on Tuesday, December 19, at the University at Albany at 7:00 pm.

- Nico Galette led three Pioneers in double figures with 20 points, four steals, and six rebounds.
- Alex Sobel scored a season-high 16 points for SHU and tied Galette in rebounds with six.
- Aidan Carpenter had 11 points off the bench as he shot 50% from the field.

- Sacred Heart and UAlbany meet for the 15th time in series history. The teams have played each other six times as Division I programs and eight times in Division II. SHU holds the series record 8-6 but lost in the last meeting, 72-65 in 2019.
- SHU will play its second straight road game, coming off a 78-64 loss at Providence on Saturday.
- Three Pioneers are averaging in double figures: Nico Galette (15.1), Tanner Thomas (10.8), and Alex Sobel (10.5). Sobel leads the team in rebounds (7.2), and Galette is second with 7.0 rpg.
- Sobel is tied for sixth in the nation in blocks with 29 (as of 12/18) and is 15th in blocks per game with 2.42.
- Galette and Thomas have brought in NEC Player of the Week awards for the Pioneers this season.
