Pioneers earn second straight trip to semifinals
WEST WINDSOR, N.J.— The No. 2 Sacred Heart University women's tennis team swept No. 7 Wagner, 4-0, in the first round of the Northeast Conference Tournament on Friday.
The Pioneers took the doubles point with victories from the teams of Aina Garriga/Ciara O'Toole and Katsiaryna Starastsenka/Olivia Kharkover.
O'Toole, Garriga and Flavia Rambaldi notched wins in singles to advance.
Up next, the Pioneers compete in their second-straight semifinals against No. 3 FDU on Saturday at 11: 30 a.m.
