FAIRFIELD, Conn.— Sacred Heart University men's soccer head coach Anthony Anzevui announced the addition of 10 signees to the 2023 class on Wednesday.
 
"Our 2023 class along with our returning group ensures we have the quality and depth to compete," said Anzevui. "We are excited about this class and we are confident they will represent our program with distinction on and off the field."
 
The new Pioneers are:

Alejandro Almuzara Romero | Forward | Madrid, Spain | St. Michael's School
 

• Member of Rayo Majadahonda
• Played the last two years at Division de Honor, the highest youth division in Spain 

Aidan Borra | Midfield | Syosset, N.Y. | St. John's University
 

• Appeared in 27 contests and made 15 starts for St. John's
• Notched first career assist in his junior season
• Named to 2021 Big East All-Academic Team 

Andrew Hammersley | Goalkeeper | Garden City, N.Y. | St. John's University/Stonehill
 

• Named to 2021 Third Team All-NE10
• Played in 31 games and made 29 starts for Stonehill
• Posted 204 saves and 1.76 goal against average for the Skyhawks
• Recorded two shutouts during sophomore season. 

Miguel Manrique | Defender | Salamanca, Spain | Colegio Santa Teresa de Jesus
 

• Member of UD Santa Marta
• Played three years at Division de Honor and 3^rd Division RFEF
• Earned the EBAU University Access Award

Nicholas Keating | Defender | Freehold N.J. | Howell HS
 

• Member of Players Development Academy MLS Next
• Helped his team to make it to the quarterfinals of the MLS Cup U-19, losing in penalties against New England Revolution.
• Named to Honor Roll

 Ethan Kilmnick | Midfield | Colts Neck, N.J. | Skidmore College
 

• Appeared in 42 games and made 37 starts for the Thoroughbreds
• Scored three goals and notched one assist during his senior season

Gianluca Lanzilli | Midfield/Forward | Guatemala City, Guatemala | Williston Northampton School
 

• Member of the Williston Northampton School Varsity team
• Scored 20 goals and notched 8 assists 

Nicholas Giffoni-Lolos | Goalkeeper | Newark, N.J. | St. Benedict's Preparatory School
 

• Guided the Gray Bees to back-to-back State Prep A Championships and the 2022 State Prep National Championship
• Member of Morris Elite U23 in the USL2 Reserve league
