Men’s Golf Wraps Up Fall Slate at Metropolitan Intercollegiate

The Pioneers placed sixth in the final standings
MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The Sacred Heart University men's golf team concluded the fall portion of its schedule with a sixth-place finish at the Metropolitan Intercollegiate, hosted by Wagner at the Montclair Golf Club in Montclair, N.J.
The Pioneers tallied a combined score of 614 (305-309), 54 over par. SHU finished one stroke away from tying Manhattan and Mercyhurst in fourth. Rhode Island won the team title with a combined score of 579 (+19).
Robby Zyskowski III and Pablo Lacayo led the way for Sacred Heart in T13th and T16th. Zyskowski built off of a strong round one with a four-over 74 today, giving him a combined score of 150 (+10). Lacayo went 74 in round one and 77 today for a final score of 151 (+11).
Mike Rothberg and Ethan Phillips were next on the leaderboard for the Pios, tying for 26th. Both golfers carded a combined score of 154 (+14). Rothberg opened the tournament with a 79 before carding a 75 today, while Phillips went 78 and 76.
Sho Suzuki, Yu Chan Ji Lim and Eoin Freeman wrapped up SHU's golfers at the event. Suzuki (+17) led the trio in 38th, while Lim and Freeman tied for 39th at +18.
