Lim led Pioneers in a T4th

FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. – The Sacred Heart University men's golf team placed third at the two-day Spring Break Invitational, led by Marcus Lim in a tie for fourth.

The Pioneers finished with two-day score 593 (+17). Sacred Heart carded a 286 on Friday and a 307 on Saturday. Purdue Fort Wayne earned a comeback win with a one-over 577 (290-287).

Lim carded a even-par 144 to place in a tie for fourth. The Selangor, Malaysia, native carded a four-over 76 after carding three birdies on the back nine.

Mike Rothberg finished next for SHU in a tie for 11th with a four-over 148. The outstanding sophomore went 70-78 on the tournament.

Jason Pelley, Pablo Lacayo, and Eoin Freeman all finished within one stroke of each other. Pelley led the group in T23rd with a 152 (+8). Lacayo and Freeman tied for 26th with a nine-over 153.

Conor Handley in T45th and Alex Turlik in 60th rounded out SHU's competitors this weekend.

The Pioneers will next take part in the two-day Seattle U Redhawk Invitational on Monday-Tuesday, Apr. 1-2.
