Women’s Golf Wins SHU Spring Break Invite in Dominant Fashion

Welch and Robilio tied for medalist honors
FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. – The Sacred Heart University women's golf team won the SHU Spring Break invitational behind Kailee Welch and Maya Robilio tying for medalist honors.
The Pioneers took the team title with a two-day score of 10-over 586 (284-302). SHU cleared second-place Purdue Fort Wayne (+25) by 15 strokes.
Welch and Robilio finished tied for medalist honors with a one-over 145. Welch led on day one with a 70 before shooting 75 today. Robilio caught up with a 71 and a 74.
Margot Rouquette and Chantal El Chaib also finished in the top 10 in T3rd and T8th, respectively. Rouquette finished in the top three with a three-over 147, carding two birdies today. El Chaib finished with a five-over 149 (72-77).
Jensie Nicholas and Jessie Burch concluded the Pios' competitors in T23rd and T33rd.
The Pioneers will be back in action on Sunday, March 24, for the first round of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate.
