Alcoba Named Hercules Tire Co-Defensive Player of the Week

The graduate secured a goal in Pios’ home-opening win against Holy Cross
EDISON, N.J. – Pablo Alcoba from the Sacred Heart University men's soccer team secured the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's (MAAC) Hercules Tire Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Alcoba scored one of the four goals for the Pios on last Thursday's 4-2 win over Holy Cross.
The goal came from a long corner service from Zach Lorenz and Alcoba headed it into the low, far corner of the net.
The graduate student also contributed to the Pioneers defense, holding the Crusaders to only four shots.
The Pioneers return home Wednesday, August 28th, as they host Fordham at 6:00 p.m.
