Rothberg tied for medalist honors, falls on fourth playoff hole
KENSINGTON, Conn. – Mike Rothberg's dramatic comeback on Sunday to tie for medalist honors led the way for the Sacred Heart University men's golf team, as the Pios placed second at the Ryan Lee Intercollegiate, hosted at the Shuttle Meadow Country Club in Kensington, Conn.
As a team, the Pioneers finished with a combined score of 566 (-2) to take second place out of 16 teams. SHU opened the event yesterday with an even-par 284 yesterday before bettering their score by two strokes with a 282 (-2) on Sunday. Rhode Island claimed the team title with a final score of 564 (-4).
