The Pioneers doubled their lead in the 24th minute, taking advantage of a counter-attack opportunity. Sam McCann stole the ball from a Mountain Hawk defender which he hit off the opposing keeper. Morcillo was just getting started as he found the back of the net again in the 27th minute. The first year dribbled the ball to the top of the box before cutting left and right-footing a shot by Lehigh's keeper.
SHU's third goal in a five-minute stretch came off the head of McCann. The junior dove to drive a header into the left of the cage, his first goal as a Pioneer.
