Women’s Tennis Come Back to Beat Stonehill

Bartyzel secures win at No.1 singles
TRUMBULL, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University women's tennis defeated Stonehill in a comeback fashion, 4-3.
In doubles play, Olivia Kharkover and Hana Hofmanova secured the win at No. 2 in a 6-3 decision. Stonehill ultimately secured the doubles point at No. 3.
Stonehill secured No. 3 and No. 6 to take the 3-0 lead. SHU responded first at No. 4 singles with Hofmanova securing the 6-2, 6-1 win. At No. 5, Kharkover defeated her Skyhawk opponent 6-3, 6-3. Senior Aina Garriga secured the No. 2 singles win 6-4, 6-2. First year Ola Irla Bartyzel secured the win for the Pioneers at No. 1 in a three-set thriller 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.
The Pioneers return home on Friday, February 14, at 11 a.m. to face Seton Hall.
