Men’s Golf in Third at SHU Spring Break Invitational

ORANGE PARK, Fla. – The Sacred Heart University men's golf team sits in third out of nine teams after the first round at the SHU Spring Break Invitational on Wednesday at the Eagle Harbor Golf Club in Orange Park, Fla.
The Pioneers own a team score of 298 (+10) after 18 holes. St. John's leads the way at 292 (+4), while Bryant is second at 296 (+8).
Ethan Phillips leads the way for the Pioneers in third place after carding a one-under 71. The graduate student carded five birdies and one bogie on the day.
Yu Chan Ji Lim and Pablo Lacayo are second for SHU at T5th and T11th, respectively. Lim opened the tournament with two-over 74, while Lacayo carded a three-over 75.
Mike Rothberg, Eoin Freeman and Robert Zyskowski III were also clustered together in T24th, T29th and T29th, respectively. Rothberg shot a 78 (+6), while Freeman and Zyskowski sit at 80 (+8). Sho Suzuki was SHU's final representative on the leaderboard in T60th.
The second round of the SHU Spring Break Invitational will take place tomorrow.
