Men's Track and Field Turned in a Solid Performance at the Harvard Invitational

The Pioneers recorded five top-five finishes
Boston, Mass. – The Sacred Heart University men's track and field team delivered a solid showing at the Harvard University Men's Invitational on Friday morning, posting five top-five finishes along with several additional top-ten performances.
Rafael Mahario led the way for the Pioneers after finishing third overall in the 400m event. Mahario finished with a time of 49.17 seconds. Closely behind was Gavin Alvarez, who finished sixth overall with a time of 49.91.
The Pioneers turned in strong performances in the 4x400 relays. The quartet of Alexander Rotondi, Colin Brown, Joshua Voorhees, and Jacob Strain placed third overall with a time of 3:22.44. Close behind, Ryan Jaipaul, Liam Keish, Andy Cuahuizo-Mendez, and Michael Maresca finished fourth, clocking in at 3:30.36.
Dylan Hunt delivered a strong showing in the triple jump, recording an impressive mark of 13.01 meters.
The final top-five finish for the Pioneers came in the weight throw, as Tyler Durang placed fifth overall with a mark of 17.59 meters.
