Grove, Carney Earn MAAC Weekly Honors for Third Straight Week

EDISON, N.J. – Sophomore Ryan Grove and first-year Jake Carney of the Sacred Heart University men's lacrosse team have earned Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) weekly honors for the third consecutive week, the league announced.
Grove was named MAAC Faceoff Specialist of the Week, while Carney collected Rookie of the Week honors.
Grove went 13-for-23 (56%) at the faceoff X and secured four ground balls in Sacred Heart's comeback victory over Fairfield on Wednesday. He also added a goal in the win over the Stags.
Carney totaled three points on two goals and one assist against Fairfield, marking his third multi-point performance of the season.
Sacred Heart returns to action on Saturday, February 28, traveling to NJIT for an 11:30 a.m. matchup.
