
Men's Lacrosse Duo Earns MAAC Weekly Awards

EDISON, N.J. — The Sacred Heart University men's lacrosse team had two Pioneers earn Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) weekly honors. Senior Craig Daria was named Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, while junior JJ Fox earned Offensive Player of the Week, the first MAAC weekly honor of his career.
Daria recorded a career-high 20 saves, along with seven ground balls and one caused turnover in goal to help lead Sacred Heart to a 17-9 road victory over Mount St. Mary's. The win marked the Pioneers' seventh straight victory.
Fox delivered a career performance, tallying a career-high seven points on a career-best six goals and one assist to lead the Pioneer offense in the win over the Mountaineers.
Sacred Heart returns to action on Saturday, March 21, when it hosts Canisius at Campus Field. Opening faceoff is set for 12 p.m.
