Carney Named MAAC Rookie of the Week

EDISON, N.J. — For the fifth consecutive week, Sacred Heart first-year Jake Carney has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Week.
Carney recorded three goals and one assist for four points in Sacred Heart's 12-10 come-from-behind victory over Merrimack on Saturday. The win opened conference play for the Pioneers and extended their winning streak to six games to remain undefeated.
His three goals marked his fourth hat trick of the season. Carney also collected two ground balls in the victory.
Sacred Heart returns to action on Saturday, March 14, when it travels to Mount St. Mary's for a noon matchup.
