
Men's Lacrosse Opens 2017 Season Tuesday Against Stony Brook

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart men's lacrosse team opens its 2017 season tomorrow against Stony Brook at 3 p.m.
Fans attending the game Tuesday should enter through the lobby of the Pitt Center and proceed down the main hallway, entering Campus Field through the tunnel underneath the fan seating area. Please take caution in the bleachers as they may be slippery from the snow and ice of the past several days. Due to the conditions, Tuesday's game will have complimentary admission for all fans.
The Pioneers return six of its top seven scorers from 2016, including a pair of 20-goal scorers in midfielders Brian Masi and Max Tuttle. Senior long stick midfielder Ryan O'Donoghue looks to build off his stellar junior campaign, one in which he was fourth in the nation in caused turnovers with 34 and was second on the team with 36 ground balls. He was a First Team All-Conference selection in 2016. Fifth-year defenseman Chase Godfrey was a Second Team All-Conference pick last season after posting 30 groundballs and 17 caused turnovers.
