Four Pioneers win matches in straight-sets
TRUMBULL, Conn.— The Sacred Heart University women's tennis team earned a dominating victory over Merrimack, 7-0, on Sunday.
The Pioneers took the doubles point on wins from the teams of Katsiaryna Starastsenka and Flavia Rambaldi and Ciara O'Toole and Aina Garringa.
After the first two matches ended on Warrior retirements, SHU came away with straight-set victories from Flavia Rambaldi, Katsiaryna Starastsenka, Ciara O'Toole and Ana Sofia Angeles Sanchez.
The Pioneers are now 5-1 in team play for the first time since 2010.
SHU is back in action on Saturday as it hosts Stonehill at 6 p.m.
Doubles
Singles
