Women’s Tennis Competes at ITA Regionals

Garriga and Irla Bartyzel represent the Pios
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Aina Garriga and Ola Irla Bartyzel of the Sacred Heart University women's tennis team competed at the ITA Regional competition hosted by Harvard University this weekend.
On Thursday, Irla Bartyzel won her first-round match in the qualifying singles draw. She beat Tamara Bachmann from St. Bonaventure 6-1, 6-2.
In singles, Garriga lost in the opening round to Yale's Ann Wright Guerry, 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles, the pair lost to Yale's Jamie Kim and Rebecca Lynn 8-5 in the opening round.
