Garriga and Bartyzel Advance to Semifinal at MAAC Masters

HAMDEN, Conn. – Senior Aina Garriga and first year Ola Irla Bartyzel of the Sacred Heart University tennis team advance to semifinal at MAAC Masters.
Garriga and Bartzyel won their doubles matches today at the MAAC Masters Individual Championships at Quinnipiac. The pair defeated Rider (Daniela Naves Anzaldo/Chloe Monachelli) 6-1 in the round of 16 and downed Niagara (Isabella Carolina Garcia Torra/Saloni Tamang) 6-2 in the quarterfinals to reach tomorrows doubles semifinals where they will play Marist (Victoria Lorentzen/Ellen Zureick) at 9:00 a.m.
The winner of tournament will receive MAAC conference's automatic bid to the ITA Conference Masters Tournament in San Diego Nov 7-10.
