Men's Golf in Third Through Two Rounds of NEC Championship

Lim still leads the medalist race at -11
PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Sacred Heart University men's golf team remains in third place after Saturday's second round of the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship. Senior Marcus Lim paces the individual leaderboard.
The Pioneers own a combined score of four-over 580 (288-292) to sit in third out of 11 teams. Howard increased its lead in the tournament to seven strokes with a combined score of 561 (283-278), which is 15 strokes under par. LIU is in second at 568 (285-283).
Lim continues to dominate at this challenging course, shooting a four-under 68 today to sit at 11-under 133 (65-68). After tallying six birdies and an eagle yesterday, Lim carded five birdies today.
Michael Rothberg also went under par today, finishing with a one-under 71. After posting a 75 yesterday, Rothberg is at 146 through two rounds to tie for 12th. He carded four birdies in round two.
Eoin Freeman is third on the Pioneers in a tie for 20th. The junior has a two-day score of 150 (76-74).
Pablo Lacayo and Conor Handley rounded out SHU's lineup this morning. Lacayo is tied for 33rd at the event with a 156 (72-84). Handley carded a seven-over 79 today.
The Pioneers will conclude the NEC Championship tomorrow morning.
