Women's Tennis Competes at West Point Invite

West Point, N.Y. - The Sacred Heart University women's tennis team showed much improvement over the weekend as the Pioneers competed in their second tournament of the fall season at the West Point Invite. The Pios played host, Army, along with matches against Fordham, Stony Brook and new MAAC conference members Quinnipiac and Fairfield.
In singles play, senior Aina Garriga Martinez and freshman Kiah James and Olivia Zuba posted wins against Fairfield on Saturday. On Sunday, freshman Ola Irla Bartyzel secured the win at first singles against Stony Brook. Hana Hofmanovs and Olivia Furrows also tabbed wins against the Sea Wolves.

The Pioneers return to the courts this Friday through Sunday at Quinnipiac University to play in the inaugural MAAC Masters Individual tournament.
