The sophomore went 8-for-11 at the plate in a series win against Georgetown
EDISON, N.J. – Gavin Donohue of the Sacred Heart University baseball team was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) for the first time in his career on Tuesday.
The sophomore utility player went 8-for-11 at the plate in three games in a series win over Georgetown. Donohue averaged .727, secured a slugging percentage of 1.445, scored five runs, tallied two doubles, one triple and a grand slam.
In the field, Donohue secured six putouts and seven assists.
The Pioneers will return to action on Friday, February 28th, when they head to Navy for a weekend series.
