Pioneers bring in first weekly award honors of the season
FAIRFIELD, Conn.—The Sacred Heart University Field Hockey team brought in two Northeast Conference (NEC) weekly awards following its first conference win of the season.
Senior co-captain Ines Braithwaite was named the Offensive Player of the Week, and first-year Emma-Rose Phillips was selected the Rookie of the Week.
Both bring in their first conference weekly award as they each scored a pair of goals in the Pioneers' 4-0 victory over New Haven on Friday evening for the first NEC win of the season.
Sacred Heart is back in action at home this weekend against UC Davis on Friday, September 19, at 7:30 pm.
