OAKHURST, NJ - The Sacred Heart Men's Tennis team fell to Monmouth 7-0 in non-conference action at the Park Ave Tennis Center on Sunday.
The closest contest of the match came at No. 6 singles, where Connor Liona battled through three sets. After dropping the opening set 6–4, Liona responded with a 6–4 win in the second to force a decisive super tiebreaker. Despite the comeback effort, he fell 10–4 in the superbreaker.
The Pios open conference play on Friday when they host Mount St Marys at the Tennis Club of Trumbull at 6:00 PM.
