
Men's Tennis Falls to Fairfield

TRUMBULL, CONN. — The Sacred Heart men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to the Fairfield Stags on April 1 at the Tennis Club of Trumbull.
The Stags claimed the doubles point to open the match, earning wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles securing the early 1-0 advantage.
In singles play, the Stags won five of six courts to seal the team result. Sacred Heart's lone point came at No. 5 singles, where Martin Macias delivered an impressive 6-4, 6-3 straight-set victory.
At No. 1 singles, Garbacz fell 6-7, 5-7, while Huang dropped a 7-6, 4-6 , 8-10 heartbreaking super-breaker decision at No. 3.
Sacred Heart continues MAAC play when they visit Rider on Saturday at 11:00 AM in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
