Johnston City, Tenn. – Sacred Heart fell to ETSU, 10–0, on the road Saturday afternoon, as the Pioneers were unable to overcome an early deficit against the Buccaneers.

The Buccaneers jumped out early and continued to add on throughout the game. The Pioneers were unable to generate offense and couldn't slow ETSU's bats.

The Bucs scored on a solo home run in the bottom of the second and added another solo shot in the sixth. They extended the lead in the seventh with a two-run homer and later added a three-run home run.

Ronan Donohue went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Pioneers offensively.

On the mound, Bryan Matuschat threw 6.1 innings, allowing eight hits and five earned runs while striking out two. Will Saxenmeyer pitched 1.1 innings with two hits allowed, five earned runs, and one strikeout.
