Pabich nets first collegiate hat trick
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Behind a first collegiate hat trick for Reid Pabich, the Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey team secured a weekend sweep of Holy Cross at home in front of a sell-out crowd with a 5-2 win at the Martire Family Arena on Saturday evening. Before the game, SHU celebrated Senior Night by recognizing its 10 graduating players.

How It Happened
The Crusaders controlled the action in the first period, taking a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes. The first came at 12:03 and the second on the power play at 18:01.
Sacred Heart would not go down without a fight, however, as the team needed a 1:15 stretch in the second to take the lead.
Reid Pabich scored the Pios' first goal 7:43 into the second period, netting one of two power play goals in the frame. After wrapping around the goal, Pabich took a pass from Mikey Adamson and skated to the slot before lifting a shot over the goaltender's left shoulder.
In his fourth game of the season, Paul Minnehan tied the score at 2-2. After a saved John Driscoll shot from the point, Minnehan, with the help of a sliding Crusader, guided the rebound across the line for the score at 8:16.
The final goal of SHU's rally in the second came off the stick of Felix Trudeau, as the senior gave the Pios a 3-2 lead at 8:58. On another power play, Trudeau took a one-timer from the right circle, which was blocked. He gathered his own rebound before firing a goal through the five-hole.
Up 3-2 at the start of the third, Pabich added an insurance score at 9:41. After Marcus Joughin sent a behind-the-back pass to Trudeau, he sent the puck to Pabich for a snipe to the top-left corner.
Ajeet Gundarah made 33 saves to collect his eighth win of the season.
