Top Headlines:
- The Pioneers pushed their season-long winning streak to four games after sweeping No. 1 NEWHA opponent Saint Anselm along with Saint Michael's last weekend. The momentum lifted Sacred Heart past Post in the standings, placing the Pioneers sixth, just four points behind fifth-place LIU.
- Addie Bowlby led the offensive charge with a productive weekend, posting two goals and an assist in the sweep. She found the net in both games, raising her season total to eight goals and her career mark to 10 while continuing to serve as a reliable scoring threat.
- Bria Holm continued her strong run, scoring twice over the weekend to give her five goals across the last two weekends. She has totaled seven points over her past four games and paced the offense with a pair of goals in Game 1 against Saint Michael's.
- The Holm sisters remain tightly matched atop the team scoring chart, each with 14 points on the season. Ella Holm has recorded seven goals and seven assists and leads the team in shot percentage at .111, while Bria Holm has tallied six goals and eight assists and ranks second on the team with 84 shots.
- In goal, Jillian Petruno was steady throughout the weekend, backstopping the Pioneers to their second consecutive sweep and helping extend the longest win streak of the season to four games. She ranks second in the NEWHA in save percentage at .942 and played a key role in limiting opponents offensively.
- Sacred Heart received balanced production throughout the lineup during the sweep, with Shae Carroll recording her fourth assist of the season in Game 1 to help move the puck from the back end. Julianna Koman added assists in both games, bringing her totals to six on the season and 16 for her career, while continuing to serve as a steady playmaker. Hailey Jussila and Maddie Smith each chipped in with their fourth assists of the season in Game 1, contributing to a multi-point team effort. Olivia LaRoche led the group with three assists over the weekend—one in Game 1 and two in Game 2—raising her season total to 10 and her career mark to 32. History vs Post:
- This weekend marks the third and fourth meetings between the teams this season. Post claimed the first two matchups, earning a 3–0 win on November 18 and a 2–1 victory on December 2.
- These two programs know each other very well, as this weekend will mark the 41st and 42nd all-time meetings between them. Sacred Heart holds a 33–5–2 advantage in the series and will look to get back on track against the Eagles. Post enters the weekend having won the last three matchups against the Pioneers.
On Post:
- So far this season, Post has averaged just 1.6 goals per game while allowing 3.1 goals against, which is not a strong formula for success. The Pioneers will look to jump out to an early lead this weekend and put immediate pressure on the Eagles. Special teams could also play a key role. Post has struggled on the power play, scoring just 10 goals on 105 opportunities. Meanwhile, they have surrendered 27 power-play goals on 106 chances against. If Sacred Heart earns power-play opportunities, they will look to capitalize and tilt the momentum in their favor.
- Emma Hoen leads the Eagles in scoring this season. She has recorded eight goals and eight assists for a team-high 16 points. Hoen has also fired 86 shots on goal, establishing herself as a constant offensive threat. In addition to her production on offense, she has blocked 30 shots, highlighting her impact on both ends of the ice. Sacred Heart will look to contain her this weekend and limit her scoring opportunities.
- Caryss Kehl is the team leader in assists. She has been a playmaker all year long and leads with nine assists. Along with the assists, she has added a goal to her 2025-26 season. She has also slapped 66 shots, showing to be a threat. Along with leading the team in assists, she also leads the team in blocked shots with 36.
- Senior goaltender Hannah Saunders has been the steady backstop for the Eagles all season long. Through 23 games played, she has allowed 56 goals for a 2.59 goals-against average. Saunders has turned aside 676 shots, good for an impressive .923 save percentage. Her consistency in net has kept the Eagles competitive in nearly every game she's appeared in.
