How It Happened
Quinnipiac jumped out to an early lead, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the first inning.

On the mound, George Katsaros settled in after the opening frame, recording two strikeouts in the second inning and two more in the third before adding his fifth strikeout in the fourth.

Sacred Heart got on the board in the fourth inning when Jacob Schmutz doubled and later scored on a single from Ronan Donohue. Quinnipiac added another run in the sixth before the Pioneers answered in the seventh, as Will Rudolph doubled and came around to score on a single from Peter Link.

The Bobcats added two more runs in the bottom of the seventh to extend their lead and end the score 2-10.
