The offense kept rolling in the second as Ronan Donohue doubled to start the frame before Will Cook and Dave Yorke helped manufacture two more runs. Kyle Cincinnati added a single, JW Fitzgerald worked a walk, and Link drew a bases-loaded walk to extend the lead to 3-0.
Sacred Heart kept the pressure on in the third. CJ Nolan singled and stole second before Will Rudolph reached on an error. Ronan Donohue delivered an RBI single to bring home Nolan, and Cincinnati followed with a two-run single to plate Rudolph and Donohue, pushing the advantage to 6-0.
On the mound, Ryan Parker dominated in the bottom half, recording two strikeouts to keep Marist off the board.
The Pioneers added another run in the fourth after Gavin Donohue doubled, stole third, and scored on a sacrifice fly from Rudolph to make it 7-0.
In the fifth, Sacred Heart put the game out of reach. Yorke, Cincinnati, and Fitzgerald all reached to load the bases before Link unloaded a grand slam, stretching the lead to 11-0.
Marist got one run back in the bottom of the inning, but Parker continued to deal, recording his final strikeout in the sixth.
Sacred Heart tacked on another run in the eighth as Ronan Donohue walked and later scored on an error, before closing the scoring in the ninth.
Fitzgerald walked, Link was hit by a pitch, and consecutive RBI singles from Gavin Donohue, Ronan Donohue, and Cook brought home three more runs as the Pioneers finished off a commanding 15-1 victory.
