- Registered a hitless career-high three innings in relief against Bryant on May 11, fanning a career-high four batters
- Pitched two scoreless innings at LIU Brooklyn on May 18

- Made his first career appearance for the Pioneers on May 8 versus Mount St. Mary’s, throwing a scoreless inning of relief in an 8-0 shutout victory

- Rubino redshirted his first year at Sacred Heart
Before SHU:
- Played baseball, basketball, and soccer at Guilford High School, earning a total of eight varsity letters, including 4 in baseball, 3 in basketball, and 1 in soccer
- As a baseball player, he was named captain his senior year
- Honored as the New Haven Register pitcher of the week twice, and in 2013 participated in the CT Junior All-Star game and the CT vs. Mass. Junior All-Star game.
- Was part of the 2012 Hammonassett League Champions
- Named to the honor roll all four years and was twice honored as a scholar athlete in 2012 and 2013
