Julia Groff was named an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Sacred Heart in December 2025.
Before arriving at SHU, Groff spent four years at Virginia Tech, where she served as the Secondary Baseball SID and Tertiary Football SID. She also focused on social media, statistics, and media relations for various Olympic sports.
Her notable accomplishments include supporting primary baseball media operations during the 2022 NCAA Blacksburg Regional, traveling with the baseball program for key road competitions such as the 2023 ACC Tournament, and contributing to national coverage through her work with NCAA social media during the 2024 NCAA March Madness.
She earned her B.A. in Communication with a minor in Business from Virginia Tech, graduating in Summer 2025.
