Five Pioneers collect their first SHU win
STORRS, Conn. - The Sacred Heart University women's tennis team opened up its 2024 fall season at the University of Connecticut Duals. The Pioneers battled Bryant University on Friday, Army on Saturday, and Wesleyan University on Sunday afternoon.
Earning their first career college wins were Ola Irla Bartyel, Kiah James, Olivia Zuba and Kailin Gochna in their singles matches with Bryant on Friday. On Saturday, sophomore transfer Hana Hofmanova got her first win as a Pioneer winning at sixth singles against Army.
The Pioneers return to the courts in two weeks when they compete at the West Point Invite.
