
Men's Tennis Suffers Road Setback at Wagner

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - The Sacred Heart Men's Tennis team dropped a narrow 4–3 decision at Wagner on Saturday afternoon at the S.I. Tennis Center, with the match coming down to the final singles courts.
The Pioneers fell behind after doubles play, as Wagner secured the opening point. In singles, Sacred Heart responded with strong efforts throughout the lineup to stay within reach.
SHU earned three singles victories on the day. Darren Huang picked up a win, setting the tone with a steady performance. Paul Goncalves and Connor Liona followed with an important victories to keep the Pios in it.
Several matches were contested deep into sets and featured tight games, reflecting how evenly matched the teams were across the lineup. Despite the late push, Wagner was able to secure the fourth point to clinch the match.
